Golf isn’t the only thing that’s legendary at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Any visit to Pinehurst is certainly not complete without the breakfast buffet in the Carolina Hotel’s dining room.

Golf Channel’s Matt Ginella calls it “The Best Breakfast in Golf” and Golfweek says: “The Carolina Dining Room’s fabulous breakfast buffet is arguably the most famous meal in golf this side of the Masters Champion’s Dinner”.

The expansive Carolina Dining Room, with it blue and beige appointments, vintage black and white framed photos of early day Pinehurst, ornate chandeliers and piano music, puts you in a great mood for breakfast.

A friendly, experienced, extremely helpful staff at the various stations of the buffet enhances the experience. Highlights include huge bowls of fresh fruit like cantaloupe, strawberries and honeydew melon, made-to-order omelets, farm fresh eggs, and classic homemade style shredded hash browns.

While the breakfast buffet won’t guarantee a bogey-free round, rest assured, it’ll be an important part of your Pinehurst experience.

The Wisconsin Room at American Club Resort (Kohler, Wisconsin)–Features local organic farm fresh eggs, Johnsonville Bratwurst Hash, Brioche French Toast, Lemon Ricotta Waffle and House-Made Granola.

Gallery Cafe at The Lodge (Pebble Beach, California)–It overlooks the first tee of Pebble Beach Golf Links with views of Stillwater Cove. Specialties include Huevos Rancheros, protein filled smoothies, Chorizo Biscuits and Gravy and House-Made Cinnamon Sticky Roll.

Watusi (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina)–Features organic coffee, Big Watusi Breakfast Sandwich on a toasted French baguette, steak and eggs and a breakfast burrito on a multi-grain tortilla.

Billy Gail’s (Branson, Missouri)–Hubcap-size pancakes, steak and eggs and French Cakes (a French toast/pancake combination).

Dino’s House of Pancakes (North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)–Huge array of pancake selections such as Chocolate Chip, Banana Nut, Cherry, Blueberry Georgia Pecan and Hawaiian (topped with pineapple and coconut).
