Golf Travel Update: Fly Direct To Ireland in 2023
Another domestic carrier is resuming service to the popular Premier Golf destination of Ireland this spring.
During the pandemic haze, the largest legacy carrier, American Airlines, suspended service to the Emerald Isle. However, as demand for travel continues to increase, carriers are scrambling to accommodate, with increased availability.
American Airlines currently operates a daily flight to Dublin (DUB) from Philadelphia (PHL). Starting in April, they will add a daily service from Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW). Then in May, the carrier will add Charlotte (CLT) to the daily route, and finally Chicago (ORD) in June.
The seasonal service will end in October, as the peak summer season winds down. This will provide more than 1,000 seats a day to Ireland. When coupled with Aer Lingus (EI), Ireland’s flagship air carrier, which is adding routes to Miami, Cleveland, and Hartford, it will make the bucket list golf destination even more accessible for US travelers to experience an Ireland Golf Tour.
