How can I attend the Masters?
There are multiple ways to attend the Masters, the first being through the Masters Tournament ticket lottery. There is a limit of 1-4 for practice rounds and 1-2 for tournament rounds (the lottery for 2025 is closed).

How long are the Masters?
The Masters is a 7-day event, and each day provides a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The tournament consists of three days of Practice Rounds and four days of Competitive Rounds.
How many rounds are in the Masters?
The Masters follows the traditional format of most major golf tournaments. Players compete over four rounds of 18 holes each (72 holes), with a cut after the second round (36 holes). The cut ensures only the top 50 players and any ties advance to compete for the coveted Green Jacket.
How many spectators are at the Masters?
An estimated 40,000 fans attend each day of the Masters competition.
The selected Badge Patrons are given lifetime annual passes for all four tournament days which cost $450 for all four days.
The waiting list for select badge patrons was closed in 1978, it briefly reopened in 2000 but then closed again.
Does the Masters have a dress code?
The Masters at Augusta National has a high standard when it comes to attire. Jeans and golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted. Gentlemen are required to wear collared shirts and slacks (no jeans or shorts). Ladies should dress modestly, with no revealing clothing or sleeveless shirts.
Spectators should wear comfortable shoes as there will be lots of walking.
What is the Masters bag policy?
Carrying bags larger than 10” x 10” x 12” is prohibited. You are allowed to use a clear plastic or vinyl bag up to 12” x 6” x 12”. Medically necessary bags and diaper bags are permitted but they will need to be inspected before you can enter.
What happens if the Masters is rained out?
As stated in the Masters rain policy, in heavy rain or in the case of lightning, a rain delay is possible. The affected round will be completed once the inclement weather has subsided, though in some cases that may not be the same day.
Augusta National’s policy dictates no rain checks or refunds on badges.
Are umbrellas allowed at the Masters?
Yes, they are and it’s recommended to check the weather and bring one just in case or you can purchase one on-site at the Masters Golf Shop.
Are there any chairs at the Masters?
Chairs are allowed at the Masters, however there are restrictions. Only one chair per patron is allowed and the chair cannot have armrests or spikes and it must fold. Many people choose to purchase the official green Masters chair from the Golf Shop for $30.
It is recommended to get there early and claim a spot if you want the perfect view.
Can you have your phone at the Masters?
Cell phones/mobiles are not permitted on the grounds for patrons at Augusta National Golf Club, home of the Masters.
Electronic watches, like Apple Watches, are allowed, but using them for calls, emails, texting, photos, videos or recording is not.
Can you bring a camera to the Masters and take pictures?
Cameras are only permitted during the Masters practice rounds, not during the tournament rounds. You are allowed to take pictures of the course and anyone participating in the practice rounds, but it’s a BIG no during the tournament rounds.
Bringing a camera on tournament days WILL result in the offender being removed from the grounds, their ticket revoked and could lead to potential for bans from future tournaments.
Are any other items prohibited from the Masters?
Everything from the official Masters Site:
- Electronic devices (Cell Phones, Laptops, Tablets, Beepers, and other electronics), including devices capable of transmitting photo/video*
- Backpacks, Bags and Purses larger than 10” x 10” x 12” (in its natural state)
- Knives and Weapons of any kind (regardless of permit)
- Cameras**
- Radios, TVs, Noise and music-producing devices
- Chairs/Seats with pointed ends, Folding armchairs, and Rigid type chairs
- Flags, Banners, and Signs
- Strollers
- Food, Beverage and Coolers
- Golf Shoes with metal spikes
- Ladders, Periscopes, and Selfie sticks
* Electronic devices like electronic watches (Apple/FitBit, etc) are ok, but not to send messages, emails, etc.
** Cameras are ok for the practice rounds (not tournaments, as mentioned).
