How to Watch The Open 2025: TV, Streaming, and Golf Packages

The Open Championship is the oldest and most revered professional tournament in golf. The best in the game compete to become the ‘Champion Golfer of the Year’ and take home the coveted Claret Jug. The 153rd playing of the Open Championship takes place at Royal Portrush in July 2025, and there’s a variety of ways for you to enjoy all of the action.

Watching The Open on TV

USA

For our clients in the USA, the Open Championship will be broadcast across NBC and Golf Channel. Coverage is split between these two broadcasters, with Golf Channel handling early rounds and pre-coverage, while NBC takes over for the high-stakes weekend action. The commentary team blends expert analysis and real-time insights.

With tee times as early as 6am GMT, much of the early golf will take place in the early hours across the U.S., with Sunday’s final round culminating around 1pm EST.

UK & Ireland

If you’re traveling to the UK or Ireland this summer, you’ll be able to enjoy the Open on Sky Sports Golf, which provides comprehensive live coverage, including all four days of the championship, pre-tournament analysis, and player interviews. For fans wanting to immerse themselves in every moment, this is the go-to channel.

The nation’s free-to-air broadcaster, the BBC, will also be offering nightly highlights. Covering key moments of the day and player insights, perfect for casual viewers or those unable to watch live.

Canada

Canadian viewers can watch live action and highlights, with TSN providing the primary coverage and RDS providing French-language coverage for Quebec and other French-speaking regions.

Australia

For the great golfing nation of Australia, Fox Sports will deliver the live broadcasts of the championship, while Kayo Sports will offer flexible streaming options for golf fans who prefer on-demand viewing or mobile access.

Other Countries:

In South Africa, SuperSport will broadcast The Open live, catering to a growing golf fanbase.
Across Asia and the Middle East live broadcasters include Star Sports and beIN Sports.
