The iconic Torrey Pines golf course is a 36-hole municipal course on San Diego’s picturesque coastline cliffs. With a total elevation of 380 feet, you can experience unmissable, panoramic views over the Pacific Ocean from both 18-hole championship courses.
The Torrey Pines south course has hosted the US Open twice and is the more challenging of the two. Although the Torrey Pines north course is thought to be a little more scenic.
Torrey Pines Golf Course is located in the community of La Jolla, just south of Torrey Pines State Reserve – a must-visit on your trip. Torrey Pines’ green fees are reflective of the breathtaking scenery and excellent golfing experiences you’ll have here, with the north course offering slightly lower rates.
If you’re keen to see more of southern California, a Torrey Pines golf trip is ideal. The center of San Diego is on your doorstep, with idyllic year-round weather and an abundance of cultural attractions.

Both Torrey Pines golf courses are famous for their pristine fairways, thick rough and ample bunkering, but the South Course offers a slightly more challenging round of golf to really test your skills.
Golf course designer, Rees Jones, remodeled the South Course back in 2001, and it’s now an impressive 7,805 yards in length.
The North Course at Torrey Pines is the shorter course of the two, offering a less demanding 18-hole experience with the same spectacular views. The course was designed by legendary golf course architect, William P Bell, and later completed by his son.
