Further West in British Columbia the multi-cultural city of Vancouver is a wonderful starting point for your Pacific Canadian golf adventure. Located in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site Banff Springs National Park, the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel has been welcoming guests, celebrities, and even royalty since the late 1880s. Canadians are wonderful and Banff is a spectacularly beautiful part of their country. Golf courses were in all in great condition, interesting and challenging, made more so by the rainy weather. Weather in the Rockies can change in a heartbeat! The Rimrock Hotel had fantastic views from our room which had comfortable beds and a great shower, and the food/drinks in the lounge were good for casual dining. Traffic into the cute town was a bit annoying – we happened to be there when it was a three day weekend and it was quite crowded but once they thinned it was easier to navigate. Lots of good restaurants in Banff.
Spectacular views/nature…views from golf courses!! even two elk on one hole… sad that there were wildfires and it was hazy at beginning
BRING rain proof top and bottom! we played through the rain one day but one day it was raining HARD, hailed and just went on too long
Rimrock hotel guest rooms are probably due for remodel
town of Banff great- shuttle from hotel works well
