How to get to Kapalua Resort

Kapalua Golf Resort is located at Maui’s most northern tip, creating a sense of exclusivity, and allowing for the unspoiled ocean views for which it is famed. However, despite Kapalua’s remote location, Maui’s Kahului Airport is less than an hour’s transfer along scenic coastal roads. Regular flights connect to Hawaii’s islands and across the USA.

There are two courses available at Kapalua, Hawaii. which are called The Plantation and Bay Course.

Prices to Kapalua can vary greatly depending on duration and flight. At Premier Golf, we recommend combining a 7-night stay with a 6-day round trip across two islands, and prices for this start from $5,980.

Of the two courses available at the Kapalua the Bay Course is considered the easiest. The Plantation hosts the “PGA Tour event – The Sentry” each January and is known to be a test for most golfer’s skills thanks to the frequent and challenging elevation changes.

The best times to visit Kapalua are in the Winter and Spring (mid-December – March), but Hawaii is great for golf all year. The Winter and Spring are perfect to escape the cold and experience the impeccable natural views that Kapulua has to offer.

The closest major airport to Kapalua is the Kahului Airport (OGG), the main airport on Maui, and is a 1-hour transfer to the venue.

The time it takes for a round of golf at Kapalua depends on the skill of the individual golfer and your party size. The average time for golf courses of a similar size is around 4 hours and 30 minutes.
