Sotogrande golf offers some of the best in the country, with Real Club Valderrama and La Reserva just two of the stand-out courses in the area. Finca Cortesin, between Marbella and Sotogrande resorts, is also worth a visit. Having played host to the Solheim Cup in 2023, the tournament’s first in Spain, you’re guaranteed great play here.
With over 70 golf courses in relatively close proximity to one another, between Gibraltar in the west and Malaga in the east, and many luxurious resorts overlooking the sea, it’s easy to understand why Andalucia is one of our favorite golf destinations.
The most famous course is Valderrama, which hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup plus many Spanish Open’s, Volvo Masters, American Express Championships, and now the LIV Golf Tour.
